Susan Guilfoyle is a project attorney with almost one decade of experience in Qatari commercial and business law. Ms. Guilfoyle’s area of expertise is primarily in the area of corporate law and compliance, advising clients seeking entry into the Middle East, with a focus on Qatari affairs.
Prior to joining Al-Ansari & Associates, Ms. Guilfoyle worked for nine years in the Doha office of an international law firm.

  • Currently working on an extensive review of Qatar law in relation to a significant Governmental project of national interest.
  • Representing Qatari and foreign businesses in commercial transactions including corporate restructuring and joint venture projects.
  • Assisting a renowned auction house in the setting up of the first art auction in Qatar and to obtain an exemption from the foreign investment restrictions to establish a 100% foreign owned presence in the State of Qatar.
  • Advising a Qatari client on the establishment of a Private Institution for Public Benefit (PIPB) in relation to arts and culture.
  • Assisting both local and foreign based clients on various Qatar regulatory and compliance matters.
